The Coddy Shack, Looe
The Coddy Shack started life as a single shed serving take away fish and chips, in the countryside just outside Looe.
It's since grown into a quirky venue to include several dining areas, with a great bar, outside terrace with beautiful views down the valley, and live music.
Renowned for it's fish and chips, but don't forget to try the fish specials, and we highly recommend the scallops.
One of the highlights is the level of service; the staff are great and super friendly.
Booking essential.
Following their continued success The Coddy Shack have opened a sister restaurant 'Little Barn', on the same site, specialising in steaks and seafood.

The Sail Loft, Looe
If you're looking for a romantic place for dinner this may well fit the bill.
As it's name suggests the Sail Loft is situated in an old sail loft on the harbour in East Looe.
In the summer months the restaurant expands outside onto the quay to include a steak and seafood BBQ.
A picturesque place for dinner, or just drinks on the new decked terrace on the quayside.

The Courtyard, Looe
Small inside, the courtyard benefits from a ... you guessed it... large courtyard garden just off the high street in East Looe. Look out for the alleyway on the right just opposite the second co-op.
Fresh fish and local wines are a speciallity. We recommend the Pinot Noir from the Knightor Winery in St Austell.

Papa Nino, Looe
A small restaurant with a big personality and even bigger portions.
Seafood, steaks, Italian speciality dishes... People travel from miles around for the spicey crab starter.
The monkfish in creamy sauce is amazing. No need to over order here as the portions are huge and very good value.

The Golden Guinea, Looe
A Looe institution; The Golden Guinea has been around for years which proves it does things well.
The food offering is a pretty standard fair of omelettes, gammon egg and chips, scampi and chips.
The highlight here is the 'secret garden' with its outside bar, a small tiered oasis in bustling Looe, so secret that not many locals even know about it.
The perfect place to enjoy a beer, and a burger in a box, in the afternoon sun.
Book a garden table ahead to avoid disappointment.

A relative newcomer the Fish Market cafe is situated next door to the old fish-market on East Looe Quay,
The restaurant has a small number of quayside tables with more tables inside. Dogs are allowed on the outside tables.
The Fish Market cafe specialises in fish tapas dishes, so setlle in and order as many small plates as you can manage. All exceptionally fresh, very tasty, and reasonably priced with a very friendly and relaxed service.
A great location on East Looe Quay overlooking the fishing boats.
We recommend booking ahead to secure a table.

The Sardine Factory, Looe
Where to begin... the Sardine Factory occupies a prime position on West Looe Quay. The first floor dining hall offers wonderful river and seaviews as you eat.
The Sunday lunch is phenomenal and pretty good value. The restaurant can get noisy and acoustics need to be improved but this is a very good top-end dining option in Looe.
The restaurant has just been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand award which ranks it as the joint 5th best restaurant in Cornwall.

La Bocca, Looe
Great fun, good value. La Bocca serves fantastic pizzas from it's restaurant next to Looe Beach.
Eat in or get a take away and find a seat on the promenade above the beach.
These are GOOD pizzas.

The Portbyhan Hotel, West Looe
The Portbyhan offers a really good value, and very tasty, Sunday lunch carvery.
Book ahead for a sunny Sunday and ask for an outside table on the Crow's Nest terrace overlooking the river. Probably the best spot in Looe on a sunny day for Sunday lunch.
